Roxana, age 30

At the age of 27 I decided to go back to school; a two year Community Worker program at George Brown College left me with $12,000.00 in OSAP debt. I began my undergrad in International Development part-time at York University and incurred another $3,500 in debt. I worked 2 jobs to try and study while living on my own and paying rent, but I can't continue my studies with so much debt. With my monthly payments, it will take me 8.5 years to pay it back. My parents came to Canada to provide me with better opportunities, and I had to give up on my dream of being the first in my family to obtain a University degree because it's just not financially possible.
